Updates have been few and far between I know and for that I am sorry.

Work and family have taken over the past 5 months and the car has come second.

Work has been a bit crazy over the off season and the past week has been no exception with the school holidays and everything!

Ok, on the family front my wife and I are happy to announce the birth of our second son Aydin, he was born Monday the 29th September at a very small 7pounds 12, small compared to his 2 year old brother who was a staggering 9pounds 8! Mum and son are fine and dad is tired…lol

SUPERSTOCK 551R

Well the latest news is that the Van Amsterdam 551R super stock has been SOLD.

When the car was put up for sale at the end of the last season I had a lot of interest but sadly no one had the cash at that time.

A few months passed by and I got a call from Daryl Clarkson aka 78A Super stock wanting to know if I wanted to do a deal on his car, cash his way. I pondered over his offer and even wandered up to Auckland to have a look at the car. After inspecting the 78A Super stock I was impressed with the car, the presentation and the work that Daryl had put into it. I then made a few enquiries about it and found the history of the Kelly Chassis and the Toyota V8. I had a serious think about the 78a car but in the end turned down Daryl’s Offer as I had an offer of a new Chassis that I just couldn’t turn down.

If you are looking for a good Super stock then Daryl’s car would be my pick and is cheap at the price he has on it, she was very fast when owned by Mark Decke and I doubt that has changed. In 12 months time I’m picking this car will make a dramatic increase in price as Daryl dials it in and shows what its got.

So once again the Van Amsterdam car went onto the net for sale.

Wow is all I can say, within a few days of being advertised I had dozens of phone calls and 3 people come and look at her. In the end one of those guys phoned me and said Yip he will take it and promptly paid me a deposit and the deal was done… Just like that

(well not exactly that easy) I will leave it too the purchaser to say who he is as I don’t think its my place to say.

THE COMING SEASON

As previously mentioned I had a great offer on a Brand New chassis package that I just could not turn down. At this moment in time we are unsure as too when we will be racing as a lot of factors have to be taken into account but I would love to be out by the end of season.

Keep your beedy eyes posted to this site as some things just may change in the next couple of weeks and we could be out A LOT SOONER.
